Saturday 10 October 2026 is World Migratory Bird Day, and this year’s slogan is “Every Bird Counts ā Your Observations Matter!”
This is a wonderful opportunity to talk about our participation in Flyway Connect, an initiative developed by the Central Asian Conservation Network (CACN) and Bird Count India (BCI). This platform encourages interested people to track tagged birds and submit their observations. Three birds from the Central Asian Vultures Project are featured: Shirin, Aygerim, and Hazrat.
The initiative was launched in a live stream event on 11 September 2026, and the recording can be viewed on YouTube.
This is part of the wider CACN Digital Hub, which includes information about our project.
