The Zoological Society of London (ZSL), who are celebrating their 200th Anniversary this year, held a conference for their Fellows on Saturday, 16 May 2026. As a ZSL Fellow, Cat Taras got to attend, and was invited to give a five minute talk introducing the Central Asian Vultures Project, and offering a look into her fieldwork experience in Uzbekistan in the Summer of 2024.
The conference was very well-attended, with more than 210 people present at the Huxley Lecture theatre or joining online. It was an incredible atmosphere, with lots of fun reactions to the presentation, and plenty of people coming to chat about the project and about vultures for the rest of the day.
